CBS has officially confirmed the date and time that Yellowstone’s season 2 finale will air on cable TV, while fans wait for Season 5, Part 2.
Due to the drama with Yellowstone’s Kevin Costner along with the SAG-AFTRA strike, production on the series’ final installment faced major delays, leaving many worried about the story’s return. After Season 5, Part 1 premieres in November 2022.
Meanwhile, Paramount is allowing its hit series to air on the CBS television network for the first time, with Season 1 ending its run at the end of October as the show’s cast and crew wait to return Working on the final episodes.
The final part of Yellowstone Season 2 is confirmed to be released on television
Paramount announced CBS will wrap up Yellowstone Season 2’s TV run with Episode 9 and Episode 10 (the Season 2 finale) premiering on Sunday, December 3.
Episode 9 will air at 8 p.m. ET before Episode 10 releases at 9 p.m. ET.
Episode 9, titled “Monday Foes”, shows the Dutton family preparing for their final big feud with Becks, while Beth Dutton helps Monica Dutton, who is facing off against two police officers.
This is followed by the Season 2 finale, “Sins of the Father”, with the Duttons and Becks feud reaching its climax when the Duttons go into a frenzy to protect one of the family members. Surname
This is the second time in CBS’ Yellowstone that two episodes have aired on the same night, with Episode 7 and Episode 8 of Season 1 both airing on October 15.
When will Yellowstone Season 5 return?
Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 has been confirmed to premiere in November 2024, although reports note that star Kevin Costner may not participate in the series’ final episodes in any capacity following his argument with series creator and sole writer Taylor Sheridan.
And even with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes now officially resolved, Sheridan may face a tall task if Costner’s role has to be eliminated from the series’ final episodes.
Thankfully, the airing of these first Yellowstone seasons is keeping the show’s popularity steady with fans, with Variety reporting that viewership on Peacock increased by 26% in mid-to-late month 9 in shows on CBS.
Although reports from early November teased that Season 5, Part 2 had already been written, the aforementioned changes could further delay filming, making fans even more anxious to watch How will this hit series end its dramatic story.
