Yellowstone: Fans, Season 5 Part 2 News You’ve Been Waiting For

Yellowstone fans, we finally have an update on when production on season 5 part 2 is expected to begin.

Since the midseason finale aired in January, longtime viewers of the Paramount Network series have been eagerly awaiting any word on when new episodes would air on TV.

Although the show had some unforeseen circumstances between Kevin Costner’s departure and the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes over the summer, it’s hard to determine whether the final episodes of the entire series Will the movie come true or not?

Well, it turns out we can start marking our calendars, because we now know when Yellowstone season 5 part 2 officially goes into production. In a new report from Deadline, the outlet revealed that the hit drama is expected to begin filming its final episode sometime in late spring 2024.

Furthermore, the publication provided viewers with key clues as to why Yellowstone plans to welcome visitors in late spring. Because creator Taylor Sheridan likes to use Montana as the show’s primary setting, the production will need winter to come and go before they can scout locations.

The news of Yellowstone returning comes just weeks after Variety announced that the release date for season 5 of season 2 will be sometime in November 2024. This also comes with the announcement of two more spin-offs in the popular franchise — 1944 and a working title called 2024.

While it’s unclear what either show will be about, we do know that Matthew McConaughey will likely star in one of them (alongside “some of the original Yellowstone cast,” according to Deadline) later. when Taylor dropped a hint about him appearing in the series Yellowstone.

“[Matthew] seemed like a natural fit,” Taylor told The Hollywood Reporter in June. “We had a few conversations over the years and tossed around some ideas. Then he started watching Yellowstone and responding. He said, ‘I want to do that’. And by ‘that,’ he meant delving into a primitive world that collides with the modern world. And then That’s when I said, ‘Dude, we can do that.’”
